Job Description - Agricultural Accounts Manager

Must have’s

* ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

* Minimum of five years' experience within an accountancy practice

* Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting, tax and VAT regulations

* Experience preparing and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

* Experience preparing and reviewing personal, corporation tax and VAT returns

* Excellent client relationship management skills

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities

* High attention to detail and accuracy

* Proficiency with accounting software (Xero essential, IRIS advantageous)

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to mentor, coach and develop junior team members

* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Nice to have’s

* Experience working with agricultural businesses, farms or estates

* Experience managing complex client portfolios

* Experience improving systems and internal processes

So, what will you be doing?

* Preparing and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

* Preparing and reviewing personal, corporation tax and VAT returns

* Managing a portfolio of agricultural and rural business clients

* Attending client meetings and providing expert accounting and tax advice

* Building and maintaining strong client relationships

* Managing workflow to ensure deadlines and budgets are achieved

* Delegating work effectively across the team

* Supervising, mentoring and supporting junior team members

* Keeping up to date with accounting and tax legislation

* Identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes

* Supporting the continued growth and success of the practice

* Full-time office-based role with occasional travel to other offices and client sites

* Flexible working pattern may be considered across five days with reduced daily hours
