Based in South Manchester, our client's team is expanding, and they are looking for an experienced Air & Ocean Freight Imports Clerk to support their growing import operations.

This is a varied and fast-paced position where you’ll manage the full import process for both air and ocean freight shipments. You’ll work closely with international agents, carriers, and clients to ensure smooth and compliant delivery of goods.

• Coordinate end-to-end import shipments via air and ocean freight
• Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, and hauliers
• Prepare and process import documentation including customs entries, bills of lading, and invoices
• Track and monitor shipments, resolving any delays or issues
• Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and internal procedures
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships

• Experience in air and ocean freight import operations within a freight forwarding environment
• Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures and documentation
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Proficiency in freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office
