Air Freight Export Clerk

We are now recruiting for the Manchester office which is based in Altrincham for a Freight Forwarding Air Freight Exports Clerk

Key duties and responsibilities:

* Air Freight Quotations.
* Producing all documentation for air freight export shipments.
* Completion of customs declarations.
* Track shipments.
* Follow up on Pre-Alerts / Post Flights
* Authenticating supplier invoices.
* Completing customer invoicing within revenue recognition policy.
* Adding accurate costs to the system to ensure financial reports correct.
* Recording correspondence in eDocs.
* Dealing with queries, both shipment and invoice.
* Promotion of additional services to clients.
* Ensuring all internal SOP's are followed correctly.
* Awareness of Deferment and Government Gateway accounting procedures.
* Ensuring any tasks within Workflow are actioned quickly.

Person Specification:

* Applying candidates will have recent relevant industry experience with previous involvement in Air Exports from quote to delivered.
* Good communication skills
* Good organisation skills and effective time management & working practices
* Manage time effectively
* Commercial awareness
* Attention to detail
* IT Literate in Microsoft Office
* Cargowise experience an advantage but not essential as full training and support will be provided.

Salary & Benefits

* Salary: £32,000-£38,000 Circa
