Job Description - Air Import Operator

Are you an experienced Air Import Operator looking for a new challenge in Manchester? Our client, a leading freight forwarder, is seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join their busy team.

The Role:
As an Air Import Operator, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end air import process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. Your key responsibilities will include:

Handling air import shipments from start to finish.
Liaising with airlines, overseas agents, and customers.
Preparing and processing all necessary documentation (AWBs, customs entries, delivery orders).
Arranging collections and deliveries.
Monitoring shipment progress and providing updates to clients.
Resolving any operational issues efficiently.
Ensuring compliance with customs regulations and company procedures.

The Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience as an Air Import Operator within a freight forwarding environment.
Strong knowledge of air freight procedures and customs regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in relevant industry software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
