Job Title: Airfreight Operator
Location: Broughton Astley, Leicester
Hours: Full-time, Permanent | Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £25,000 – £29,000 per annum DOE

Day-to-Day Duties:

• Receive and process airfreight bookings, providing quotes in line with customer requirements
• Book collections and arrange appropriate transport solutions including airfreight and courier services
• Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations
• Monitor deliveries and provide updates to clients and internal teams
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and agents to ensure smooth freight movements
• Complete associated administrative tasks and support operations processes
• Handle basic accounting functions related to freight jobs
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
• Report and resolve issues as required to maintain service quality

Essential Skills:

Full UK driving licence (due to location)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to learn and retain complex procedures and regulations
• Confident working independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and reliable work approach
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Accurate data entry skills
• Positive attitude with a proactive mindset
• Honest, with strong work ethics

Desirable Skills:

• Previous experience within airfreight or freight forwarding
• Knowledge of customs clearance procedures
• Familiarity with logistics software or freight management systems
