Airside Waste Collector Driver - Bristol Airport

Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for Airside Waste Collector Drivers to join a well-respected and successful client at Bristol Airport. PLEASE NOTE: A Full UK Manual driving licence is required for this role, with no more than three points.

What's on offer:

• Rate of pay: £13.00 once successful completion of training there will be £2.50 increase per shift

Key Duties:

• Consistently deliver the highest level of customer service to cabin crew and airline staff.
• Collect waste and recycling directly from aircraft, ensuring prompt and efficient removal.
• Carry out ad hoc cleaning tasks to support operational needs.
• Correctly segregate waste and cleaning materials in line with recycling and environmental guidelines.
• Ensure strict compliance with both airline and airport policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure working environment at all times.
• Report any safety concerns, hazards, or irregularities immediately.
• Important: This is a physically demanding role that includes extensive manual tasks such as bending, lifting, walking, and working in tight spaces.

Roster examples:

The airport is operational 365 days a year, 7 days a week so full flexibility is required.

• Day 2: 0645-1845
• Day 3: 0645-1845
• Day 4: 0645-1845

Must be flexible to accommodate the shift pattern.

Rate of Pay:

£13.00 per hour and once successful completed training, there will be an additional £2.50 per shift increase.

Requirements:

• A Full UK Manual driving licence, with no more than three points endorsed, maintaining regular reports for inspection.
• Experience driving a large vehicle is essential.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency of both written and spoken English.
• Must be able to pass and maintain an Airside Pass and airside driving Permit, including competency checks where necessary. This will require a full 5-year work history, the right to work in the UK and a DBS check.
• A positive pro-active “can do” attitude.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team.
