Psychology Teacher – A-Level Only – Chislehurst

Philosophy Education is working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Chislehurst, seeking a passionate and knowledgeable A-Level Psychology Teacher to join their successful sixth form department from January 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Psychology specialist who enjoys teaching at Key Stage 5 and wants to focus exclusively on delivering engaging, high-quality A-Level lessons.

The position is full-time maternity cover, with no KS3 or KS4 teaching responsibilities.

The Role

Teach A-Level Psychology to Year 12 and Year 13 students.
Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons that develop students' analytical and critical thinking skills.
Prepare students for A-Level examinations through effective teaching, assessment and feedback.
Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to help learners achieve their potential.
Work collaboratively with the sixth form team to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching A-Level Psychology.
A confident understanding of A-Level assessment requirements and examination preparation.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Passionate about supporting sixth form students and helping them achieve strong academic outcomes.
