Alternative Provision Teacher - Willenhall

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with an all-through alternative provision in Willenhall to recruit a dedicated Nurture Teacher to support primary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN). This is a full-time role to start ASAP.

This setting provides a supportive and therapeutic learning environment for children who may have faced challenges in mainstream education. Pupils often present with a range of needs, including SEMH, autism, communication difficulties, and learning delays. The nurture approach is central to helping these children re-engage with education, build trust, and develop socially and emotionally.

About the Role:

As the Nurture Teacher, you'll work closely with a small group of pupils in a calm, structured environment. Your role will involve:

Delivering a tailored, holistic curriculum to meet pupils' emotional and academic needs

Building positive, trusting relationships to support personal development

Working collaboratively with a strong multidisciplinary team (including SENCOs, therapists, and support staff)

Promoting a safe, consistent, and inclusive learning space

The Ideal Candidate:

QTS or QTLS (essential)

Experience working with primary-aged children with SEN, particularly SEMH and ASC

Experience working in an alternative provision

Understanding of the nurture principles and trauma-informed practice

Excellent classroom management with a calm, empathetic approach

Ability to inspire and motivate pupils who require additional support
