Chase Taylor are working on behalf of an established and successful aluminium fabrication business to recruit a Production Operator to join their team.
The successful business has over 30 years’ experience within the aluminium industry and specialises in the manufacture and supply of high-quality slimline aluminium products, including windows, entrance doors, sliding doors, verandas, bi-fold doors and curtain walling for both commercial and domestic markets.
Previous fabrication or production experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be reliable, motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
About the Role
As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for achieving the day-to-day production requirements detailed on the production schedule, working under the supervision of the Leading Hand.
You will work closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are achieved efficiently, while maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities

Meet required quality standards and follow written and verbal work instructions.

Maintain a clean, safe and tidy working environment.

Ensure all manual handling, including lifting and carrying, is completed safely.
*
Follow established work instructions and seek guidance from a supervisor when required.
*
Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively to ensure production activities are completed efficiently.
*
Inspect and check products to ensure consistently high standards are maintained.
*
Work to established production times and communicate any issues where targets are not being achieved.
*
Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements to production processes and working practices.
*
Identify and report unsafe operations, working practices or equipment.
*
Support the wider production team as required.
Skills & Experience Required
*
An understanding of production requirements, deadlines and quality standards.
*
Ability to inspect and check your own work accurately.
*
Flexible approach, with the ability to undertake different tasks in line with your skills and training.

Good organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise daily tasks.

Reliable, hardworking and committed approach to work.
*
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Previous fabrication experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Additional Duties
The successful candidate may be required to undertake other reasonable duties from time to time, in accordance with their skills, abilities, experience and position within the business.
