AM Data Architect

We are looking of a skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our dynamic Architecture team within Phoenix Asset Management.

Location: This role could be based from our Wythall, Edinburgh, London or Telford offices with time spent working in the office and at home.

The Role
We are looking of a skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our dynamic Architecture team within Phoenix Asset Management. This is a rare opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial style to redesign, develop and optimise our data systems, where the ideal candidate will have designed and implemented an Asset Management data model from early stage or even first principles. Key Responsibilities will include:
- Analyse requirements to design and implement tailored solutions.
- Help delivery teams to interpret business needs and transpose these into scalable data models.
- Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders both technical and non-technical.
- Take responsibility for data quality and cataloguing, liaising closely with the Data Governance team.
- Data Governance and Quality, take accountability for the assurance and governance of data solutions in order to make recommendations to ensure compliance.
- Data innovation, awareness and understanding of opportunities for innovation with new tools, technologies leveraging to improve customer outcomes.
- Data modelling, ability to explain the concepts and principles of data modelling, produce, maintain and update relevant data models for specific business needs and can reverse-engineer data models from a live system.
- Data standards, developing data standards for a specific component and analyse where data standards have been applied or breached and undertake an impact analysis.
What are we looking for?
Desired Skills:
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role
- Solid understanding of data modelling and data warehousing techniques
- Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages and low-code tooling
- Good knowledge of AWS services (e.g. Redshift, S3, Glue)
- Experience with the Snowflake data platform
