Production Operative – Fragrance Compounder
12 month FTC
2pm - 10pm Monday – Friday
£13.59ph, £26,500per annum ( + 20% PM shift premium )
Northamptonshire, NN6

We have partnered with a market leading business, who are looking for a production operative to join their lab team. You will be responsible for weighing and preparing synthetic and natural aroma chemicals, oils, and powders in line with established formulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and health & safety requirements.
The role requires effective teamwork, a strong focus on safety, hygiene, and efficiency, and collaboration with other departments to ensure high service standards. They also require you to have a valid counterbalance licence.

Key Duties:

Verify tank and container labels against paperwork to ensure accuracy.
Maintain cleanliness of all equipment at all times.
Compound raw materials according to formulation requirements.
Use raw materials in FIFO (first-in, first-out) order.
Ensure completed batches are combined and check-weighed before packing.
Complete handover documentation if a job cannot be finished.
Report any errors, discrepancies, or spills immediately.
Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
Perform additional tasks as required to support daily operations.

The Ideal Candidate:

Enthusiastic and collaborative team player.
Production/factory or warehouse experience.
Experience handling chemicals and blending highly desirable.
Strong self-motivation with the ability to work independently.
Good IT skills.
Excellent numeracy and communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective time management skills.
Valid Counterbalance / Forklift Truck (FLT) license.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX (desirable).
