About the team and the role

The UK/DE Analytics team helps build business strategy by turning marketplace and customer data into actionable insights. As the UK/DE Analytics Manager, you will partner with regional leaders to understand market performance, customer behaviour, and business opportunities. You will also work closely with eBay’s global analytics and data science teams to deliver scalable insights and AI-enabled solutions that support better decision-making.

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys applying critical thinking alongside hands-on analytics to address complex business challenges and affect outcomes across various business sectors.

What you will accomplish

  • Collaborate with regional leaders to uncover growth opportunities by linking insights across demand, supply, category performance, marketplace health, and customer experience.
  • Provide clear, data-driven suggestions that assist leaders in understanding business performance, customer behaviour, and strategic priorities.
  • Develop measurement frameworks for customer segmentation, retention, dedication, and long-term customer value to guide business decisions.
  • Partner with product and data science teams to employ AI and machine learning approaches that boost personalization, targeting, and decision-making.
  • Build benchmark frameworks, reporting, and business review processes that enable faster decisions, improve performance tracking, and highlight emerging trends.
  • Lead analytical deep dives into strategic business questions, translating complex data into practical recommendations with measurable business impact.
  • Strengthen analytics capabilities by improving experimentation, growing self-service and AI-enabled analytics, and mentoring analysts and partners on analytical guidelines.

What you will bring

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a similar area, with leadership demonstrated through influence and/or people management according to role level.
  • Extensive experience in business and customer analytics, applying data to address complex business challenges and guide decisions.
  • Expertise in customer segmentation, retention, dedication, and customer lifetime value measurement.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, experimentation, causal inference, and impact measurement, including A/B testing and quasi-experimental methods.
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python to analyze large datasets, automate workflows, and build repeatable analytical solutions.
  • Experience crafting dashboards and visualizations, preferably in Tableau, that communicate insights clearly and support decision-making.
  • Strong communication and collaborator management skills, with the ability to explain complex analyses to technical and non-technical audiences and build alignment across teams.
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or another quantitative subject is required. A Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
