In this role, you will develop, test, deploy, and enhance platform capabilities, resolve issues within existing analytics services, and provide hands-on engineering support to Data Scientists and MLOps teams working across a range of technologies. You will operate in a dynamic environment with varied and sometimes unfamiliar technical challenges, requiring strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a practical engineering mindset to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure solutions that enable data-driven outcomes for our client. The following is a headline list of the type of tasking that the person in this role may be expected to lead / facilitate / support. This list is not exhaustive; rather an outline of responsibilities that may need ownership. In this role, you will: • Work on high impact projects focused on cloud migration and data management. • Build scalable, secure systems and contributing to the full software development lifecycle. • Design, develop, test, and deployment of a new analytic hosting platform. • Bugfixes and feature requests for existing mission facing analytics. • Engineering support to MLOps engineers and Data Scientists. These are unpredictable and highly variable requirements, potentially using unfamiliar technology, so a flexible style is required. In this role, we are looking for a mixture of the following skills: • Python • Kubernetes • Docker • CI/CD basics (Gitlab pipelines) • Data science and MLOps knowledge (highly desirable) • Spark (highly desirable) • Scala (highly desirable) • S3 (highly desirable) • Graph databases (highly desirable) • Elasticsearch (highly desirable) • Vector stores (highly desirable) • OIDC/OAuth (highly desirable) • NodeJS (highly desirable) • React (highly desirable) • Will be required to hold a higher level of clearance.
