Application Support Analyst - Hybrid (Manchester)

Harvey Nash is recruiting for an exciting role for a client of ours, who are a leading organisation in the chemicals industry. The role is a permanent IT Application Support position and has great opportunity for instant impact, our client is huge on personal development and are looking for an enthusiastic professional who wants to hit the ground running as well as expanding on their skillset.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to all employees to optimize the application of modern workspace technologies (Microsoft 365, Azure, ERP, Veeam Data Platform).
• Act as a superuser of our applications, evaluating training requirements and ensuring consistent and efficient user experience.
• Deliver prioritised solutions with the help of internal and external partners as required.
• Ensure policies, procedures, set-up, and documentation are understood and followed, providing training as needed.
• Act as a point of escalation for 1st/2nd line engineers.
• Monitor and report on key security factors.
• Lead and manage IT projects, specifically around Microsoft 365 and ERP systems.
• Identify opportunities and implement processes to improve efficiency, security, and resilience within the IT infrastructure.
• Ensure IT maintenance activities are completed proactively to keep platforms safe and secure for users.
• Maintain a strong understanding of IT safety and security procedures.

Skills and Requirements:

1. Experience in 2nd/3rd Line support for hybrid users (helpdesk).
2. Extensive understanding and experience implementing Microsoft 365 Enterprise and ERP systems.
3. Experience adapting to and implementing new applications.
4. Experienced in leading and assisting with IT projects.
5. Extensive understanding of operating systems and applications including: Windows Server & Client OS, VMware ESXi, Veeam Data Platform, ERP.
6. Supplier, Vendor & Stakeholder management.
7. Further Microsoft service knowledge (BI, Intune, Azure).
8. Knowledge of Windows Defender for Endpoint.
