Job Description - Application Support Engineer

Role: Application Support Engineer
Salary: Up to £32k
Location: On-site (Telford, England)

Our market-leading client is looking to recruit an experienced Application Support Engineer. This crucial role involves a blend of core IT support, in-house system enhancement, and infrastructure collaboration, partnering with both specialist external IT providers and internal teams to maintain the smooth running of vital operational technologies.

Application Support Engineer Skills / Background –

Solid troubleshooting skills and experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role (Essential)
Familiarity with SQL databases
Advantageous: Background in supporting or developing within a Microsoft .NET framework, particularly with C# and ASP.NET.

Application Support Engineer Role Responsibilities –

Maintain, update, and enhance the internal Information Management System
Provide first-line support for the on-site MRP system.
Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of the SQL-based data warehouse.
Provide hands-on IT support to end users across the site, in collaboration with the MSP.
Collaborative oversight of our local IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and backup protocols (in conjunction with our MSP).
Development and upkeep of internal IT knowledge resources and standard processes.
Flexibility to undertake tasks aligned with their skillset and the evolving needs of the business.

Company Benefits –

Permanent, Full-Time position (Monday-Friday, 39 hours per week)
33 days of holiday per year, including statutory holidays
