We are looking for an Application Support Engineer, for our well-known client from the IT industry

Stevenage, Hertfordshire

We are for looking someone:
Responsible for the efficient operation and support of applications within the Mechanical Design Department
Specializing in, identifying, and solving problems and advising users
Responsibilities:
Provide extensive end user support for Mechanical Design application for over 3000+ users.
Be responsible for delivering support across 3 UK sites – Stevenage, Bolton, and Filton.
Assist in the definition of best practice and processes associated with Mechanical Design applications
Must be willing to apply for DV Sec clearance if not already held
Develop effective resolutions for user problems and system errors
Confidently be able to present complex subjects to different target audiences.
Requirements:
Good knowledge of application/s support
Adaptability to different personalities and levels of user knowledge.
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously.
1st/2nd level operations experience with Application support team or service desk
Experience of working to SLA's
Windows experience
Onsite availability
Working within a Support team environment
Sec Clearance
SQL Awareness
Analytical skills
Log analysis competency
Window 2016 server knowledge and above
Window OS skills - Strong
App Packages
VM's
Enterprise services Experience – Active Directory/DFS/Certificate Services/Keystores/IIS Web Services/Apache Tomcat
Security Patching
Release management and Change management
Problem Management
Root Cause Analysis skills
Nice to have:
Windchill administration / implementation
Ideally have spent significant time administrating / configuring Windchill and completed Windchill 10.2 or 11.
Implementation of Windchill 10.2 or above.
Administration of 10.2 and above.
Knowledge of deploying Creo Parametric/Office PDF workers.
Awareness of Creo Parametric / Creoview.
CREO Illustrate
Windows 10 OS / Windows Server OS – 2012 onwards.
Must have strong Windows OS administration knowledge.
Should have some basic knowledge of the following:
ESX VMWare.
ESX infrastructure.
ESX snapshots / restores.
Enterprise services.
Active Directory.
DFS.
Certificate Services / certificate keystores.
IIS Web services.
Apache Tomcat
SQL
Some knowledge of MS SQL Server databases.
Knowledge of the use of SQL management studio.
Knowledge of SQL command language in order to perform queries and updates within SQL database
