As an Applications Engineer, you’ll help drive the creation of bespoke and innovative solutions for world-class customers, supporting sales and engineering teams with your technical insight and system-level thinking.
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Sales, Business Development Managers, and customers to identify technical opportunities and create tailored design solutions using existing or new products.
• Capture and interpret technical requirements, create compliance matrices and concept designs, and deliver system-level solutions that align with strategic business objectives.
• Liaise with manufacturing teams to ensure solutions are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with production capabilities.

Requirements:

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) with extensive experience in a design or engineering environment, preferably in a customer-facing role.
• Experience in 3D CAD and PLM software (CREO preferred).
• Familiarity with designing and manufacturing small components with tight tolerances.

• Good knowledge of the NPI lifecycle and hands-on experience creating concept designs from customer input.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Key Information:

• Role: Applications Engineer
• Salary: £35,000–£45,000 (Depending on Experience)
• Location: Whitstable, Kent (Hybrid – Remote Mondays and Fridays)
• Working Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00–16:30; Friday, 8:00–13:30
• Eligibility: Right to work in the UK required (no sponsorship available)
