Applied AI Engineer

We’re looking for an Applied AI Engineer to join a growing AI organisation and work closely with the research and engineering teams to build high-quality, production-grade AI systems.

Key Responsibilities: 

Design and build solutions using LLMs, RAG and related AI technologies
Develop and maintain high-quality production software
Architect and maintain microservice-based systems
Take ownership of technical problems from concept through to production
Work closely with research and engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
Provide technical guidance and support to more junior engineers
You’ll ideally have:

Experience building LLM-driven systems, including RAG
Commercial Python development experience
Strong understanding of clean, maintainable and well-tested software
Fluency with agentic tooling
Excellent technical communication skills
Bachelor’s degree from a leading or internationally recognised university
A strong product mindset and focus on delivering user value
A self-starting, creative approach to problem solving
Desirable Experience:

Deep learning and traditional machine learning
LLM fine-tuning
Microservice architecture
Modern LLM tooling and evaluation approaches
Further Information: 
The role is paying up to £140,000pa + bonus and is based in London with Hybrid working on offer. This role is not providing sponsorship
