Apprentice Assistant Accountant

We have an opportunity for an Apprentice Assistant Accountant to join us at SNG. 

You'll be part of our Finance team, with an office base in Basingstoke.

The salary starts from £15,680 depending on your age and experience.

The Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship offers you the chance to gain practical experience while working towards an accountancy qualification.

You’ll build your skills by working across different areas of Finance at key times of the year. This could include supporting financial reporting during the year-end audit, learning about procurement and tax, helping with budget planning, and contributing to business planning activities.

By rotating through different teams, you’ll get a broad understanding of how SNG works as a business. This will help you discover your strengths and choose the area you’d like to focus on for your future career.

You'll also be attending college to complete a Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician qualification.

• We have attached a Candidate Guide to this role. This will help you with the application form and let you know what questions we are going to ask you.
• To complete the Level 4 course you'll ideally have, or be working towards a Maths and English GCSE
• You can apply until midnight on the 23rd June 2026
• We will let you know if you will be invited to our assessment days by Tuesday 14th July
• The assessment day will take place on the 24th July, please make sure you are available.
