Apprentice Upholsterer SP

Description of what the apprentice will do in their role:

We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Apprentice Upholsterer. You will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of upholstery, learning valuable skills in fabric patterning, bed upholstery and furniture frame assembly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting experienced upholsterers in day-to-day tasks.
• Learning and applying upholstery techniques, including fabric fitting.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Following health and safety regulations diligently.
• Participating in the repair and restoration of upholstered furniture.

Upholstery Apprenticeship Training Programme

During your apprenticeship, you'll engage in a comprehensive Upholstery Apprenticeship Standard programme. Training will be provided both on-site and through our dedicated training partners. You will engage in:

• Practical workshops to develop foundational and advanced upholstery skills.
• Regular assessments and feedback sessions to monitor progress.
• Learning industry-standard practices and tools for successful upholstery.

If you have already achieved GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above, you may be exempt from Functional Skills requirements, though support will be available throughout the programme.

Career Progression Opportunities

• Advanced apprenticeship in Furniture Manufacturing at Level 3.

£16,640 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 40 hours between 6.00am-3.30pm
