About the Opportunity

In partnership with a leading accountancy practice based in Harrow, we are offering an exciting entry-level opportunity for a motivated young individual aged 16-19 to begin their career in finance and accounting.

This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain practical experience in a professional setting, with full training and mentoring provided. The successful candidate will join a well-established team and contribute to real client work from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the bookkeeping team with client account tasks

Recording and reconciling financial transactions using accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks)

Assisting with purchase and sales ledger maintenance

Helping prepare VAT returns and financial reports

Filing, document management, and other admin duties

Collaborating with team members to keep client records up to date and accurate

Candidate Profile

Ages 16-19 (must be within this age range at time of appointment)

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred)

Strong numeracy and good attention to detail

Eager to learn and grow within the finance sector

Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Positive attitude, punctual, and well-organised

No prior experience required - full training is provided
