Apprentice/Trainee Surface Mount Operator

We are seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice/Trainee Surface Mount Operator to join a Surface Mount Department. This role is ideal for individuals who are currently completing or have completed studies in electronics or engineering and are looking to start their career in this field. With comprehensive training provided, this position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow professionally under the guidance of experienced team members.

• Line Setup: Loading parts into feeders to prepare for production runs.
• Line Run: Managing and changing feeders as required during operations.
• Serialising Boards: Adding serial numbers to boards to track and manage inventory.
• Line Strip Down: Unloading unused parts from the machine and returning them to stores after production cycles.
• Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance tasks as directed by senior team members to ensure smooth operation of equipment.

• No prior experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) required for trainees; however, some knowledge of electronics is beneficial.
• Currently studying or have completed a relevant qualification in electronics or engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical working approach.
• Confidence in making decisions based on set criteria.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
