AR & Billing Team lead

SF Recruitment is working with an established business to recruit a AR Team Leader. This is a hands-on opportunity to lead and develop a team, take ownership of day-to-day receivables delivery and help improve the processes behind it.

Reporting to the Transactional Finance Manager, you'll ensure invoices are accurate, deadlines are met and queries are resolved promptly. Alongside supporting the team, you'll have scope to strengthen controls, identify automation opportunities and drive improvements across the billing function.

Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, coaching and developing Billing Administrators through regular one-to-ones, clear objectives and ongoing training.
Allocating workloads and overseeing high-volume invoicing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer contracts.
Supporting complex billing queries, working with customers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
Producing and monitoring KPIs to track performance, identify issues and support decision-making.
Strengthening billing controls to reduce errors and prevent missed revenue.
Reviewing processes, maintaining clear procedures and supporting system enhancements and automation.

We're looking for someone with:
A strong AR / billing background, with experience managing high invoice volumes and competing deadlines.
Previous experience leading and developing a team.
A practical approach to resolving queries and building relationships across a business.
Strong attention to detail, confidence using Excel and an understanding of financial reporting.
Experience improving processes and maintaining effective financial controls.
