Arborial Consultant / Tree Surveyor

BS 5837 experience? Know how to balance tree protection with the practical demands of construction?

We're looking for an experienced Arboricultural Consultant to work on a varied range of construction and development projects across the South East.

This is a development-focused surveying and consultancy role, not tree surgery or general tree maintenance.

You'll work closely with architects, engineers, developers and planning authorities to ensure trees are properly considered throughout the development process.

The Role

Carrying out BS 5837 tree surveys on construction and development sites

Producing Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Method Statements

Preparing Tree Constraints and Tree Protection Plans

Advising on root protection areas and construction restrictions

Liaising with planning authorities regarding TPOs and conservation areas

Monitoring tree protection measures during construction

What You'll Need

Proven experience of arboricultural surveying for construction and development

Strong practical knowledge of BS 5837

Experience producing technical reports and development-related plans

Relevant arboricultural qualifications, ideally Level 4 or above

CAD or GIS experience

Full UK driving licence

You'll enjoy a varied workload, genuine technical involvement and the opportunity to influence projects from initial planning through to construction.
