Architect Engineer

ALink Recruitment are working with an engineering consultancy that are looking for an Architect with 2-3 years experience. The role would be working on rail projects so any rail related experience would be beneficial but not essential.

• Day-to-day, you will be involved in the development of premises engineering solutions to a variety of our clients projects within the rail industry, from concept to construction.
• Producing detailed design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Collaborating with key stakeholders, including asset owners, maintainers, and project teams.

• Planning and coordinating multiple projects to meet key delivery milestones.
• Scope and supervise on site surveys and inspections to assess projects.
• Supporting the development of the team by mentoring junior engineers, sharing technical expertise, and contributing through strategic input and knowledge sharing.

Essential Criteria

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering (BSc, MSc or MEng) or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to an excellent written and verbal skills standard.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements and relevant British Standards.
• Good understanding of materials.
• Expertise in railway and built environments, with an understanding of products, installation methods, and construction practices.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination skills.
• Has a strong desire to exceed expectations and deliver work to the highest of standards.
• Computer literate and good experience of computer software programs such as, MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).

Desirable Criteria

• Working towards Chartership in Architecture or Engineering (RIBA, CEng, MICE or MIStructE)
• Member of an institution.
• Knowledge of National Building Specification (NBS).
• Experience in the Rail Industry and an understanding of the Rail Environment, rules and regulations.
• Experience and good knowledge of TfL Pathway or Network Rail GRIP, PACE.
• Good understanding of LU Standards
