Architectural Technician / Architectural TechnologistLocation: Nottingham Office-based (4 days per week) with 1 day working from home Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Join a Multi-Disciplinary Construction ConsultancyWe are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist to join our design team within a well-established construction consultancy.Working as part of a wider multidisciplinary business, you'll collaborate closely with Quantity Surveyors, Building Surveyors and Project Managers to deliver a diverse range of projects across the public and private sectors. Our work spans commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, leisure and community developments, offering genuine variety and exposure to interesting schemes. The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is confident working independently and managing their own workload. You will be involved in projects from initial concept through to delivery, producing high-quality technical drawings and construction information using AutoCAD LT.The successful candidate will be trusted to work under their own direction whilst remaining an integral part of a collaborative and supportive team. Key Responsibilities
Produce technical drawings and detailed construction information using AutoCAD LT. Prepare planning, building regulations and tender drawings. Assist with project delivery across a range of sectors. Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and internal project teams. Support projects through all RIBA stages where required. Ensure drawings and documentation are produced accurately and to agreed timescales. Attend site visits and project meetings as necessary.About YouWe're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Previous experience as an Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist. Strong technical drawing and detailing capabilities. Proficiency in AutoCAD LT. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction methods. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
