A well-established, design-led architectural practice based in Guildford is seeking a skilled and proactive Architectural Technologist to join its expanding team. This RIBA-chartered firm is recognised for delivering high-quality work across a variety of sectors, including commercial, residential, retail, and education. With a strong emphasis on technical excellence and innovation, the practice offers a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The Role:
We are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience in the retail sector, capable of confidently managing projects across all RIBA work stages. You'll be responsible for delivering technically sound and regulation-compliant solutions while liaising closely with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications in coordination with the wider design team

• Manage and deliver projects from concept through to completion, including site coordination and client engagement

• Ensure full compliance with current UK building regulations and industry best practices

• Conduct regular site visits to oversee progress and maintain design integrity

• Support planning submissions and building control documentation

• Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and external consultants

Requirements:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Architectural Technology

• Strong technical expertise in UK building regulations, detailing, and materials

• Proven experience delivering retail projects, ideally within a UK-based architectural practice

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities, with the ability to manage competing deadlines

• High proficiency in Revit (essential)
