Architectural Technologist
£27,500 - £32,000 + benefits
MacArthur Recruitment is seeking an Architectural Technologist for a successful Architectural and Surveying client, near Cockermouth, Cumbria. Their work; design, build and survey projects, typically covers the Cumbria area, working in the private, commercial and government sectors, amongst others.
Overview of the role of Architectural Technologist :
The purpose of this role is to support the firmâs Architects and Surveyors; to prepare drawings and details to a high standard, as well as taking a lead role on appropriate projects. Youâll have experience in packages such as Vectorworks or AutoCad whilst experience with REVIT, SketchUp or similar would be a bonus.
Key aspects of the role of Architectural Technologist :
- To undertake measured surveys
- To produce project drawings
- To liaise with consultants and clients
- Contract administration and monitoring.
Your qualifications and experience for the role of Architectural Technologist :
- Member of The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technicians (CIAT) ideally, or willing to join
- Commercial experience working as an Architectural Technician
- Fully conversant with computer aided design â Vectorworks, AutoCad or similar
- Conversant with 3D packages â REVIT, SketchUp or similar (desirable)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Five GCSE Grade C or above, two of which must be English and Maths
- A clean driverâs licence.

- Salary: £27,500 - £32,000 DOE
- 36.75 hours a week (Mon-Thurs 9-5, Fri 9-4:15)
