Job Description - Area Manager

Area Manager – Sales & Lettings (London)

A fast-evolving property business is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead high-performing teams across both sales and lettings in London. Blending the energy of a start-up with the strength of an established brand, the company is redefining what a modern estate agency looks like—offering clients not only traditional estate agency services but also a broad range of complementary housing solutions.

This is an exciting time to join the business, with major plans underway to build a market-leading platform. The Area Manager role is critical to this mission and offers a unique opportunity to be part of a progressive and ambitious organisation.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing branch-level teams, creating a culture of accountability, service excellence, and strong performance across sales and lettings.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing and mentoring branch teams to foster professional growth and operational excellence
  • Conducting regular one-to-ones, quarterly reviews, and annual appraisals
  • Coordinating and leading branch meetings
  • Acting as the first point of escalation for internal and client-related disputes
  • Generating weekly and monthly performance reports for senior leadership, highlighting key metrics and areas of opportunity
  • Leading on valuations and market appraisals
  • Converting appraisals into instructions
  • Ensuring the company’s CRM/database is consistently accurate and well-maintained

  • Proven experience in a senior position within residential sales and/or lettings

  • Ability to problem-solve under pressure and adapt to evolving business needs
  • A track record of achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Professional, personable communication skills, particularly over the phone
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
