Job Description - Area Sales Manager

Our client is moving goods in critical supply chains around the world. They are now looking for an Area Sales Manager to be based in the Hampshire, Oxfordshire region. A good geographical base could be in or around Southampton area. As one of their Area Sales Managers, you’ll play a pivotal role in proactively identifying and promoting business opportunities for new equipment, short term rentals. used trucks and servicing. Reporting to the UK & Ireland Country Director, this position requires a proven salesperson who can cultivate and nurture professional relationships with both existing and new customers to drive profitable sales growth.

Area Sales Manager – Benefits

- Fixed commission of £12K on top of base for your first two years on achievement of targets, with a long term OTE of £80-90K

Area Sales Manager – Required Skills

- Ideally, you’ll have a degree level education, or equivalent experience and a proven record of success in sales.

- Strong awareness and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your team

- A self-starter with enthusiasm and drive, you’ll have proven ability in identifying and converting opportunities into sales and be able to develop sales strategy and sales plans.

- Need to have sold heavy goods such as Cranes and heavy plant machinery.

- You’ll have a deep understanding of the materials handling industry.

- Attentive to customer needs and market dynamics you’ll be adept in building and maintaining relationships.

- Collaboration and effective communication with colleagues and clients to achieve shared goals and maintain an equitable work environment for all.
