Area Sales Manager - Ireland & Scotland

Power and Electrical Infrastructure

Up to £70,000 base + £8,400 car allowance + performance bonus

Ireland based | Territory covering Ireland & Scotland

We are working with an established specialist business operating within the power and electrical infrastructure market to appoint an Area Sales Manager covering Ireland and Scotland.

Candidates must be based in Ireland and comfortable travelling regularly across the territory, including into Scotland when required.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of an important geographical area, developing existing customer relationships while also identifying and winning new business across the power, utilities, electrical infrastructure and wider energy markets.

The business supplies specialist cable products and associated solutions used across critical electrical and power infrastructure projects.

Your background could include:

Power cables or cable accessories

HV / MV / EHV products

Electrical distribution products

Switchgear

Transformers

Substations

Grid connections

Utilities

ICP / EPC environments

Renewable energy infrastructure

Electrical wholesalers or distributors

Other technical products sold into similar customer groups

You might currently be an Area Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Engineer or Technical Sales Manager.

The key requirement is that you have proven commercial / sales experience within a relevant technical market and can demonstrate the ability to develop relationships, grow accounts and create new business opportunities.

The role will involve:

Managing and developing customers across Ireland and Scotland

Growing existing accounts and identifying new opportunities

Building relationships with contractors, distributors, utilities, infrastructure businesses and other relevant customers

Developing new business across the territory

Understanding customer requirements and providing appropriate technical and commercial solutions

Working closely with the wider commercial and technical teams

Regular travel throughout Ireland, with travel into Scotland as required

This could suit someone already working directly within the cable sector, but we are also interested in people from adjacent electrical, power, utilities and infrastructure markets who have strong transferable sales experience.
