Job Description - Area Sales Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Electronic Security Distributor covering the Midlands region, you will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence and ensuring the efficient distribution of electronic security products. Your responsibilities will include:

Territory Management:
Develop and execute a strategic plan for territory coverage, focusing on maximizing sales opportunities and market penetration.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out new business prospects.
Regularly visit clients and prospects to understand their needs, provide product demonstrations, and offer tailored solutions.

Sales and Distribution:
Achieve sales targets by effectively promoting and selling electronic security products to customers within the territory.
Provide product training and support to clients, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge to effectively utilize our offerings.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify new sales opportunities and contribute to the development of sales strategies.

Customer Service:
Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Coordinate with internal departments such as logistics and technical support to ensure timely delivery and efficient resolution of customer concerns.

Market Analysis:
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments within the electronic security sector.
Provide feedback to the sales manager regarding market insights, customer preferences, and potential areas for growth.

Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and territory performance using CRM software.
Prepare regular reports and forecasts detailing sales performance, territory coverage, and market trends.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Proven experience in sales or distribution within the electronic security industry, with a strong understanding of security products and technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and build lasting relationships.
Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software for sales tracking and reporting.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the Southeast/Midlands region.
