Area Sales Manager - Electronic Components - South West UK

Our client, an established supplier of electronic components and technical solutions, are looking for an Area Sales Manager - Electronic Components - South West UK to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a customer-facing sales role focused on developing new business, growing existing accounts and maximising revenue across a designated customer portfolio.

Key responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager - Electronic Components - South West UK job:

Develop and manage a profitable portfolio of existing and new customers
Drive design-in activity and promote the full range of products and services
Develop account strategies and identify new markets, applications and opportunities
Manage sales enquiries through to order and take commercial ownership of customer relationships
Achieve or exceed sales and gross profit targets
Manage customer inventory and support VMI programmes where required
Attend customer meetings, QBRs and industry events
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements
Work closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers to resolve commercial and operational issues

Experience required for the Area Sales Manager - Electronic Components - South West UK job:

Strong knowledge of the electronics industry and electronic components
Proven track record in business development and key account management
Experience identifying new customers, markets and applications
Commercially driven with excellent communication and negotiation skills
Experience with VMI and/or customer inventory solutions desirable
Sourcing/procurement knowledge and experience
Strong customer service and relationship management skills
Experience working to sales and gross profit budgets
Good IT skills and experience using ERP systems
