Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Furniture

Industry Sector: Retail sector, Bedroom Furniture, Bathroom Furniture, Living/ Dining Furniture, Kids Furniture, Wardrobes, Beds, KBB, Independent Retailers and Showrooms

Area to be covered: North - ideally based M62 Corridor

Remuneration: £45,000-£50,000 - £20,000 + £25,000 bonus

Benefits: Company car (hybrid available) or allowance & benefits

The role of the Area Sales Manager - Furniture will involve:

• Field sales position selling a manufactured range of furniture for bathrooms, bedrooms, living/ dining and kids furniture
• Promoting an extensive furniture product range of over 1,300 products
• Selling into and managing relationships with independent retailers and showrooms
• Inheriting circa 200 customers with a turnover of approx. £700,000
• New business focussed role, both within known customers and new retailers
• Tasked with doubling turnover over the next 2 years
• Visiting customers that typically turnover £20,000+
• Utilising a network of customer contacts within the furniture sector to grow the area
• On-boarding new independent retail customers as required to achieve sales target specified
• Creating a growth strategy with solid go-to-market strategies

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Furniture with:

• Furniture sector field sales experience
• Must have sold extensively into independent retailers
• New business hunter, not afraid to cold call

• Proven track record in field sales within the KBB / interior building products
• An outlook of looking for longevity
