Area to be covered: Scotland, North East & Cumbria

Remuneration: £45,000-£50,000 neg. + Bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed hybrid company car + benefits package

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Glass Products will involve:

* Field sales position selling a manufactured range of glass products such as: flat glass, processed glass and toughened glass

* Selling into the construction, glazing and architectural markers

* Targeting various fabricators and installers (not selling directly to the contractors that carry out the project work – one stage removed from that!)

* Typically selling to metalwork companies, joinery companies, window manufacturers, trade window companies, furniture manufacturers, shop-fitters, interior fit-out companies and a smaller element of dealing with merchants who will cut the flat glass down to size for window and door fabricators and small glazing retailers

* Circa 250 customers on the area

* 70% account management 30% new business development

* Responisible for an area with a turnover of approx. £8m

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Glass Products experience with:

* Must have construction field sales experience in an associated industry

* Ideally from a glass, glazing, windows, fenestration, profiles, glass processing, glass machinery background

* If not glazing related you must have sold into fabricators or metalwork companies, joinery companies, window manufacturers, trade window companies, furniture manufacturers, shop-fitters or interior fit-out companies

* Must have the tenacity to generate new business relationships

* Driven, hungry and ambitious
