Art Teacher

Bright Star Talent are currently recruiting for an Art Teacher to join a secondary school in Bootle, Liverpool, with the position available to start as soon as possible.

The school are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Art Teacher who can deliver interesting and well-structured lessons across the secondary age range. You will be joining an established school team and will be expected to build good relationships with students while maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom.

The role will involve teaching Art across KS3 and KS4, covering a range of topics and helping students develop both their practical skills and confidence in the subject. The successful candidate will be able to adapt lessons to suit different abilities and keep students engaged throughout the lesson.

The role will involve:

* Planning and delivering Art lessons across KS3 and KS4

* Teaching a range of practical and creative Art topics

* Preparing resources and activities for lessons

* Supporting students with their practical work and coursework

* Differentiating work where required to support different abilities

* Maintaining good classroom behaviour and expectations

* Building positive working relationships with students

* Assessing and providing feedback on students' work

* Encouraging students to develop their own ideas and creativity

* Working alongside other teachers and support staff within the school

* Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

The school are looking for someone who:

* Has QTS or relevant teaching experience

* Has experience teaching Art within a secondary school

* Is confident teaching KS3 and KS4

* Has good classroom and behaviour management skills

* Can plan and deliver lessons independently

* Has a good understanding of how to support students with different learning needs

* Is approachable and able to build a good rapport with pupils

* Is reliable, organised and professional

* Works well as part of a wider school team

* Is available to start as soon as possible

* Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
