Role Highlights:

• Teach Art to students with a range of special educational needs, providing tailored support to enhance their creative expression


• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Art lessons, ensuring accessibility for all students


• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to explore their artistic abilities


• Work closely with the SENCO and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for students with individual learning needs


• Support students’ personal development, promoting self-expression and boosting confidence through the arts


• Track and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of each student

Experience & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent


• Experience teaching Art, ideally in an SEN setting or with students with additional needs


• Strong understanding of creative teaching methods and strategies for differentiating Art lessons


• A passion for the arts and helping students express themselves creatively


• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students


• Excellent communication and organisational skills


• Enhanced DBS check required
