Long Term Teachers are looking for exciting Art teachers to teach in Secondary schools in the Swindon area. You will be teaching lessons that aim to encourage students skills and confidence in the classroom. There are opportunities for development of your own continuous professional development.

The opportunities are for part time and full time starting September. The role would suit a teacher with a genuine passion for the Art who can create stimulating lessons and an ability to direct and adapt curriculum to support individual needs. The role would expect experience planning and marking. 

Responsibilities : 

• Plan and deliver Art lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Encourage participation in classes.
• Planning and Marking of work
• Foster an exciting and secure environment of learning.
• Monitor student progress and adapt lesson plans accordingly
• Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider staff.

Requirements : 

• QTS and a degree in a relevant field
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Experience working in secondary schools
• Strong subject knowledge and lesson delivery skills.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
