Position Overview

The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering creativity and artistic expression in students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. This role involves cultivating a dynamic and engaging learning environment where students can explore various art forms, develop their technical skills, and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for the visual arts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver inspiring art lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.


• Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement, experimentation, and critical thinking.


• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual artistic growth.


• Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Art department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.


• Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in art education.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Art, Art Education, or a related field.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.


• Demonstrated experience teaching Art at the secondary level.
