Asbestos Removal Operative

Who are we?

Smiths is a leading provider and fully licensed Asbestos Removal and are committed to ensuring safe and compliant environments for our clients and are looking for a dedicated and skilled Asbestos Removal Operative to join our team. This is an employed position, full time and hourly paid.

Salary will be based on skills and experience. Starting salary equivalent to £31.5K per year. 

You will need to have a Full UK Driving license, Asbestos Medical and Full mask. 

The work will involve travelling to various sites in an work van. Jobs will be in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Oxfordshire, Bristol and Worcestershire.

Role Overview:
As an Experienced Asbestos Removal Operative, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient removal of asbestos-containing materials. You will work on various sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and quality

Responsibilities for the job role:

• To carry out asbestos removal works on a variety of projects including commercial and residential buildings.
• To ensure all works carried out are in accordance with Plans of Work.
• To work in accordance with HSE regulatory requirements and company procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a team whilst remaining calm and professional under pressure

Required skills and certificates

• Experience of Asbestos removal
• Licensed Asbestos removal training certificate
• Asbestos Medical certificate
• RPE Face Fit certificates
• CSCS card (not essential)
• Knowledge of general Health & Safety and Asbestos regulations
• Full UK driving license.
