A specialist SEN school in Slough is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic ASD Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, or Teachers who want to gain valuable, hands-on experience supporting students with ASD and a range of special educational needs.
As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will: Deliver 1:1 and small-group support tailored to the individual needs of students with ASD. · Support students with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning. · Help students develop confidence, independence, and positive relationships. · Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to create a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. · Observe and monitor students' progress, wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement throughout the school day. We're looking for an ASD Teaching Assistant who is: Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young people with ASD. · A confident communicator with a genuine passion for working within SEN. · Interested in gaining practical experience before pursuing a career in psychology, therapy, or education. · Able to build strong, positive relationships with students and colleagues.
