Aspiring Secondary Teacher

Currently I am working with a dynamic and inclusive secondary school dedicated to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment. They are committed to academic excellence and the holistic development of our students.
They are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain on task with their learning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise classes during the absence of regular teachers.
Ensure that students are engaged in the learning activities provided by the absent teacher.
Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures.
Provide support and guidance to students as needed.
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Take attendance and maintain accurate records.
Communicate any issues or concerns to the relevant staff members.
Support the administration and smooth operation of the school as required.
Assist with other duties related to student supervision and support as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Experience working with secondary school students, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A proactive and flexible approach to work.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
