ASSAY TECHNICIAN

***NEW POSITION ***

To process, prepare, assay and hallmark articles submitted to the branch office, in accordance with in-house procedures.

Duties will include:

• Process and prepare goods for Assay and Hallmarking
• Carry out remedial work / minor repairs on jewellery
• Will involve some heavy lifting
• Working closely with technicians on precious metals
• Working towards deadlines and varied day

Key skills required:

• Have good manual dexterity
• Patient and methodical
• Able to solve practical problems effectively
• Trustworthy and reliable - you will be working with high valuable goods
• A good communicator with interpersonal skills - you might be explaining objects have failed the assay test
