Company A well-established manufacturing business specialising in the design and production of steel storage solutions is looking to appoint an experienced Group Team Leader to join its busy manufacturing operation. The company is committed to delivering high-quality products, excellent customer service and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on safety, quality and operational performance.
Role As Group Team Leader Assembly & Despatch, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of the Assembly and Despatch teams. You will allocate workloads, monitor production and quality performance, manage dispatch activities and ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time. Working closely with Production Management and other internal departments, you will drive productivity, maintain high standards of health and safety, support lean and continuous improvement initiatives, and coach and develop team members. This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced sheet metal manufacturing environment.
Person We are looking for a confident, organised and resilient team leader or supervisor with previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, warehouse or despatch environment. You will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, a practical approach to leadership and the ability to motivate and develop a team while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Experience of sheet metal manufacturing, metal storage products, lean manufacturing, ERP/MRP systems, forklift operation or IOSH qualifications would be advantageous. Above all, you will be proactive, accountable and customer-focused, with the drive to improve performance and deliver results.
