Assembly Operatives needed – Clevedon
Location: Clevedon, North Somerset, BS21
Transport: Own transport required
Pay: Weekly or monthly Holiday: 25 days + 8 bank holidays, accrued pro rata

Shift Options:
Condensed – Contract (34.5 Hrs)
Fri–Sun: 12:30–00:30 £32.24/hr 
Contract: ASAP–20th December
Holiday: Accrued and paid at the end of the contract

AM – Ongoing (37.5 Hrs)
Mon–Thu: 06:00–14:15 | Fri: 06:00–11:30
£16.48/hr | Temporary ongoing £250 gift card after 4-month probation | £500 after 12 months
Holiday: 25 days + 8 bank holidays, accrued pro rata

PM – Ongoing (37.5 Hrs)
Mon–Wed: 14:30–00:30 | Thu: 14:30–00:00 | Fri: Non-working
£17.91/hr | Temporary ongoing £250 gift card after 4-month probation | £500 after 12 months
Holiday: 25 days + 8 bank holidays, accrued pro rata

About the Role
We are currently recruiting Mechanical Assembly Operatives to join Edwards Vacuum in Clevedon.

The company produces specialist vacuum and exhaust management systems used within the semiconductor industry. This is a hands-on role suited to candidates with practical mechanical or engineering experience.

Duties include:
• Mechanical assembly of frames, brackets and components
• Building sub-assemblies using tools and equipment
• Installing pipework and mechanical components
• Fitting heaters and insulation to pipe runs
• Following basic engineering drawings and work instructions
• Supporting general production and assembly tasks
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area

What We’re Looking For
• Previous assembly, manufacturing or engineering experience.
• Experience using hand tools and working with mechanical parts.
• Ability to follow instructions and basic engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach.
• Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Vehicle Mechanic, CNC Operator, Fabricator, Production Operative or similar would be beneficial.
