Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Assembly Operatives to join our Client.

***FITTING / FIBREGLASS / PIPES / PRESSURE TEST / SHEET METAL***

***MUST COME FROM THE AEROSPACE ENGINEERING / MANUFACTURING FIELD***

FITTING:

Fabricating and assembling seat plans chassis and parachute container assemblies.

Conducting bench fitting and building of detailed assemblies.

Conduct heat treatments.

Conduct injection moulding.

Packing, bonding and room temperature vulcanising, sealing of box bridle line assemblies.

Vertical mill - milling expanded foam inserts for heat pad assemblies.

Producing seat backrest and sitting platform assemblies.

Fitting hardware and furniture using a range of aerospace fasteners, adhesives and Velcro.

Utilize royalite plastic sheet and vacuum forming techniques to produce head pad assemblies.

To undertake fine detailed, small scale gluing work to various plastic skins (bond memory, foam, carbon fibre wafers, webbing and various types of material).

Requirements:

Riveting, adhesives, operating vertical milling machines, assembly / fitting tools and equipment.

Read and interpret engineering drawings.

Self inspection and quality checks.

FIBREGLASS:

(Specific to fibreglass).

(Rest as above).

PIPES:

Using program cards to be able to cut pipes using an electric saw.

Set and operate pipe bending machines.

Hand fitting pipes to the relevant form blocks and digital measuring equipment, making any adjustments necessary.

Carry out inspections in accordance with quality standards and issue the appropriate certificates and stamps.

To monitor the fitness for purposes of tools and equipment and provide for their replacement and or recalibration.

Requirements:

Advanced deburring techniques.

Metal polishing.

Read and interpret engineering drawings.

Manufacturing / engineering backgrounds.

PRESSURE TEST:

Run programmes that test high pressure hoses to required technical and quality standards in accordance with the process specifications including in each batch of hoses produced testing of a sample to destruction.

Set up programmes for new components in accordance with the parameters in the technical specification and quality standards.

Conduct injection moulding - mould set up tool, barrel, configuration, material selection and preparation, programming and machine minding.

Carry out inspections in accordance with quality standards and issue the appropriate certificates and stamps

Mechanical apprenticeship.
