Assembly Operators - Two Shifts available:

1. Alternating Shift Role

Monday to Friday, alternating weekly

• Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pm
• Week 2: 2:00pm - 10:00pm

• Total package:£28,618.20 (including shift premium)

2. Day Shift Role

• Monday to Thursday: 6:30am - 3:00pm and Friday: 6.30am - 12 pm

• Salary: £23,848.50 per annum (no shift premium)

About the Role

Butler Rose is proud to be working in partnership with a leading manufacturer in the Plymouth area who is seeking to expand their production team with skilled and motivated Assembly Operators. These are full-time, permanent opportunities offering excellent working conditions and long-term development.

You will be working as part of a fast-paced production environment, assembling high-quality pumps and motors to precise specifications. Full training will be provided, but previous experience in a similar setting is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble hydraulic components following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards
• Conduct testing of hydraulic units (following training)
• Complete production paperwork accurately and on time
• Meet hourly and daily production targets
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your workstation
• Communicate equipment issues promptly
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform daily equipment and safety checks

Person Specification

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
• Ability to meet production targets and deadlines
• Good attention to detail
• Able to follow written work instructions
• Team player, flexible, and adaptable
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
