Job Description - Assembly Supervisor

Role: Assembly Supervisor
Location: Deeside
Type: Permanent
Salary: £34,000 per annum

We're working with a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Deeside, currently looking to recruit an Assembly Supervisor to join their team.

The Assembly Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of assembly operatives to ensure the efficient and high-quality production of goods. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the assembly department, ensuring health and safety compliance, hitting production targets, and continuously improving productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Supervise assembly department in accordance with the production schedule issued by Production Control
Maintain accurate records of production output, attendance, incidents, and equipment issues.
Coordinate with the production control team regarding the assembly order needs and notify any issues or worries that could threaten the production timeline
Ensuring finished product matches expected quality standard
Coordinate requirements with other departments, keep the operations manager informed about workflow, and make sure KPIs are maintained
Maintain a strong focus on quality, ensuring products meet company and customer specifications.
Monitor performance, provide training and support to team members, and conduct regular performance reviews.
Induct new employees and provide on the job training
Interact with team members to resolve problems, suggest improvement methods of working, and provide feedback in performance

The person:

Previous experience in a similar role
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principle
Experience with ERP systems
Excellent verbal and written communication
