Assembly Technician

Assembly Technician required for a precision mechanical engineering company, based in Sunbury-on-Thames.

Due to increasing growth, the company have a vacancy for a light assembly technician, to join their ever-growing team.

Assembly Technician Job Overview
* Working for a company producing a unique freewheel device based on gear elements and used in multiple industries and application, throughout the world.
* The components range from in size from less than 0.1 meters in diameter to 2.0 meters and can include; casings, bearings and control systems.
* Finished products range from 2 kg to 16,000 kg completed items.
* Good opportunity to become a member of a great team within light assembly and be involved in helping with the general operations within the setting, assembly & testing of clutches within the company.

Assembly Technician Job Requirements
* Requires a good understanding of general engineering practices and reading of technical drawings.
* Previous light assembly experience.
* Able to follow issued build instructions, verbal instruction, capable of clear and concise recording of clutch build data from assembled components.
* Ideally be experienced in the use of measurement equipment ranging from Verniers, Micrometres, Dial Test Indicators, and other such specialist gauging equipment.
* Must be comfortable with the use of hand tools for fine finishing of components.
* Based within a commutable distance of Sunbury on Thames, London.

Assembly Technician Salary & Benefits
* Salary - £34,000 to £40,000 - dependent upon experience, skill and qualification.
* Working hours - 08:30am to 17:00pm - 5 days a week. (Monday to Friday).
* Holiday package - 22 days + bank holidays.
* All specialist training required will be provided.
* Overalls, safety shoes and PPE supplied.
