Assembly Technician

Reed Engineering are delighted to be partnering with a cutting-edge manufacturer renowned for designing and building advanced equipment and systems that utilise laser technology. Our client serves a global customer base, customising their solutions for highly specialised micro-joining applications.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Assembly Technician with a strong background in electronics to join their skilled and close-knit team at their site in Bury St Edmunds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and test high-precision equipment and systems
• Work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions
• Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting on electronic components
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure quality and efficiency

Requirements:

• Proven experience in electronic assembly or a similar technical role
• Strong understanding of electronic components and circuit boards
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Additional Information:

• Salary £26,000 - £29,000 depending on experience.
• 25 days holiday + bank
• Onsite Parking
• Working hours: 08:30 – 17:00pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
